Two Ways to Play

⚡ Speed Duel

All players race to solve the same word. Pure competition — same target, different strategies.

The player with the lowest combined score (turn count + thinking time) wins.

📚 Lex Duel

Each player chooses a word for the group. The server randomly assigns them — you might solve your rival's pick, or someone else's entirely.

Strategic uncertainty: pick a hard word to challenge others, but if they solve it efficiently, the rarity could work against you.

How It Works

  1. Your turn begins — Timer starts when you view the board
  2. Submit your guess — Timer stops immediately
  3. Wait for the next round — Feedback appears at the start of your next turn
  4. First to solve triggers the final round — All remaining players get one more turn
  5. Lowest score wins — Score = (turns × 1 second) + total thinking time

Every turn adds 1 second to your score. Every second spent thinking adds to your time. Fast guessing with more turns can beat slow thinking with fewer guesses — or vice versa.
